Cross Country Awards Banquet

Scott's Cross Country Awards Banquet was on Tuesday December 2. He earned a White Letter, signifying three years of varsity lettering in the same sport. He also got a plaque for making the All-Division and All Region teams and for being one of the 7 Centennial runners who ran on the State Championship Team (he'll get a ring later for that one). He also earned a Scholar Athlete Award and was named to the Nevada All State Academic Team (we're not sure what the criteria are for that one but they must be high since only two team members got that award). The award his parents liked best though was the "Citizenship Award" which his coach presented him because, among other things, in three years he's "never heard a bad word come out of Scott's mouth." We love our Scott more for who he is than for his academic and athletic achievements so that was our favorite part of the night.
