Dallin lettered. He also received word that his times averaged about one second faster than Scott's as a Freshman: the competiton is on! His teammates also presented him with the "Stinky Sock" Award, for the best new Freshman runner, passed down from Nick who got it last year. He also got the more official, Most Outstanding Freshman plaque from his coach.
Scott and his good friend Devon, who were co-captains of the team this year, both received the "Coach's Award". It was very special to hear their coach talk about watching them develop over the past four years. Scott also received a dark blue letter, for four years of lettering in the same sport, got an All-Region Team Plaque, got a Scholar-Athlete patch, and was named to the All-State Academic Team. We also learned that, based on his best 5k, Scott is now ranked as Centennial's 5th all time fastest cross-country runner since the school has had a team over the past 11 years.
