Family Pictures

Saturday we drove to Calico Basin and our friend, Jamie Jones , took our family pictures. She has an amazing eye for color and space. Family pictures are not an easy task, but she made it bearable. Thanks, Jamie for putting up with the non-smiler, the blinker, the 4-year old and the two teenagers that thought mom's idea of holding "ho ho ho" was beyond their status. My favorite of Chris and I is the one where we started laughing at something and Jamie told me to look at Chris. Both of us were trying hard to contain our laughter and we ended up with the first picture up above.

Bowling with the Brasiers

It's the first day of our two-day Veteran's day holiday and we went bowling at the Red Rock with the Braiser's. Ethan ended with a score of 212 thanks to Dallin & Austin's computer wiz knowledge. We made sure there were no cosmic lights and music blaring so Dallin wouldn't get dizzy.

!!!CENTENNIAL TAKES STATE!!!

The Centennial Boys' Cross-Country Team won the Nevada State Championship race today at Veteran's Park in Boulder City!! They beat Carson by only one point, 56-57 and Northern Nevada Champion Reno by only three points, so every finishing runner's place mattered. The upset win was the first time in a decade a southern team has beat a cc team from the North and Centennial's first boys' State Championship in any sport that competes Statewide. Scott came in third out of the 7 Centennial Runners, and posted a 17:38 to beat his own course record in the 5k race. We know he gave it his all, because not only did he PR on the course but when he finished he promptly started throwing up. He's all better now though. Go Scott!!!

Dallin's Fall Band Concert

Dallin's Middle School Band Fall Concert was on Thursday the 6th. He played "Spiderpig" and "Rights of Tamburo" on the French Horn. We loved watching his toe-tapping, since we Albrights usually don't have any rhythm. Guess Dallin is the exception.

Centennial Wins Regionals !!!

On Nevada Day, Friday October 31st, Centennial beat twelve other High Schools to win the cross-country Regional Championship, for the Sunset Division, for the second year in a row. Scott came in 10th place overall out of 93 runners to help his team beat number 2 Palo Verde 47 to 74 points. By placing in the top 15, Scott also made the All-Region team for the second year in a row, this year getting his course PR on the Boulder City Veterans Park of 17:44. The Centennial Girls Team won too, so next week it's back to Boulder City to face the other top 5 Southern Nevada teams and the top two Northern Nevada teams for State.

Happy Halloween

Our ward's Trunk or Treat was a blast!
Zach, Scott, and Mitch
Ethan and Ian Can you tell we had the same homemaking class on making halloween buckets?
Allison, Rachel, and Aubrey
Luminescense! My attempt at capturing our glowing pumpkins. Dallin's is an eyeball. Ethan's is a pirate. Allison's is a screaming face. Rachel's is a scared face and Scott was too busy to carve his.
